Ishmael Reed reads from his book, “Barack Obama and the Jim Crow Media, the Return of the Nigger Breakers

According to Ishmael Reed, there’s little difference between the way that Jews were treated in the Nazi media and the treatment of Blacks by the mainstream media.

Why should the treatment of a Black president be any different? Though some pundits contend that American media was soft on Obama,in fact ,thrilled by him,

Ishmael Reed presents irrefutable evidence that the attitude of the media, whose sales target are Angry White Men, constituted a Hi Tech lynching.

He argues persuasively that with the purging of blacks and Hispanics from the nation’s media industry, the look of television is that of an all white jury with not only consequences for those whom it scapegoats for ratings but for the nation’s black chief executive and his policies.Without the media, there

would be no Tea Party.

Those minority faces that remain are for the most part proxies for right wing opinion as the points of view of blacks, Hispanics and Muslims are becoming more restricted.

No American publisher willing to undertake Reed’s controversial book, Reed had it published in Canada, following the tradition of the fugitive slaves who finding no audience in this country made their arguments elsewhere.
