Introducing Tribes Summer Reading Series

A Call for Submissions The Reading Series will begin July 8th and occur bi-weekly on Sundays until late August. We are looking for submissions from various genres: fiction, poetry, essay, nonfiction, and anything else literary and well-written. Keep in mind, however, that readers will be limited to about 6-7 minutes on the mic. Shorter works are welcome. Please send submissions, attached as a Word document, to: gatheringofthetribes@gmail.com.

Subject line must read: “Tribes Summer Reading.” Deadline: July 1, 2012 (11:59pm) Please be sure to proofread and include your name in the heading. We will contact you by email to let you know if your work has been accepted. Tribes was conceived as a venue for underexposed artists, as well as a networking center and locus for the development of new talent. Our focus is on outstanding literary and critical work from emerging and established writers with an emphasis on multiculturalism and alternative viewpoints. For more info, go to: www.tribes.org.
