than green lady liberty.

at Floyd Bennet Field

and Jamaica Bay

on 6th Avenue

and in The Village

...

Heads above

the others on

the Manhattan Skyline

A new big solid tower

there were others before

not impervious, but 

replacing The Twins

Somehow an anchor

for the city and elsewhere

oily and shimmering

refections of the changing skies

A reminder of lost battles

needed deliberation,

of what America

and the World

needs to sadly

not forget.
